Karen Laos is a Communication Expert and Confidence Cultivator on a mission to eliminate self-doubt in 10 million women in 10 years.

With over 25 years of leadership and C-Suite advisory experience, Karen has worked with some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Google, Starbucks, and NASA.

Her journey began early — at just six years old, her father taught her the power of asking when she successfully negotiated her first flea market deal. But Karen also knows what it feels like to let self-doubt creep in and second-guess herself. That defining boardroom moment, when she froze mid-meeting and her boss told her, “You didn’t trust your gut,” sparked a transformation that drives her mission today: helping women find and use their voice with confidence.

Karen is also the bestselling author of Trust Your Own Voice: Growing Your Influence Through Confident Communication and the host of the top-rated podcast Ignite Your Confidence, where she shares actionable strategies to help women speak up and lead boldly. She is the creator of The Confidence Cocktail™, her signature framework to quiet self-doubt, command any room, and lead with influence.

Her expertise extends beyond the stage. Karen has spent years facilitating leadership retreats, consulting executives on communication and culture, and delivering keynotes and workshops that transform how organizations connect and perform.

When she’s not on stage or recording her podcast, Karen loves adventure — from surfing solo in Costa Rica to living out her dream of spending her 50th birthday month in Manhattan. Originally from Minneapolis, she holds a BA in Psychology from Lafayette College and has invested over a decade in the Townsend Leadership Program.
